Kids arrived in droves after I built the truck in my garage and wheeled it out to the front lawn. Flattering. Kevin, with the gun, looks about 8 or so…making the year of the picture 1976. That’s Andrew on the left.

If you look closely you will see our chickens, Tara the coonhound, our wheeled rabbit cage complete with kids and rabbits…and the trunk of the 100 plus years old willow that once sheltered all…and oh, yes, a fanning mill.
At the time I thought chickens were monogamous and kept a pile of roosters that could be heard a block away.
