What  a surprise!  I do not think I can overstates the surprise I felt when I opened an email<\/div>\n
from Edouard Reniere sent from Brussels in Belgium.  He had been surfing the internet and<\/div>\n
found my story about Victor Poppa and the crash of HX 313 on a raid over Bourg Leopold<\/div>\n
on the night of May 27,28 in 1944.   Most readers are familiar with the diary entries of Victor Poppa\u2026.<\/div>\n
both hilarious at times as he searched for women on his off hours and his graphic descriptions<\/div>\n
of the bombing missions.  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The story began long ago when I began tracing the events that led to the death of George Freeman<\/p><\/div>\n

in 1944.  He was killed in HX313, a Halifax Bomber.   Others survived the crash. Their stories have<\/div>\n
come together.
