EPISODE 174    THE SUN IS STILL SHINING<\/p>\n

So here we are.  Going into another lockdown in Peel County, <\/div>\n
Ontario.  Cold weather on the way and fear of explosive Covid 19<\/div>\n
return.   Now that is a \u2018downer’.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
“What we need is an upper.\u201d  that thought I am sure was on the minds<\/div>\n
of many this week.   And lo and behold an upper arrived with the morning<\/div>\n
sunshine as recorded by friend Rick Irving whose apartment looms over<\/div>\n
Lake Ontario and his unit faces east from which arrived a glorious morning<\/div>\n
sunrise.<\/div>\n

The kids gave me an ATV for my 80th birthday two  years ago.   So I went <\/div>\n
for a drive over the bare fields in search of more uppers.  And I found<\/div>\n
one in the least likely place\u2026an open air swamp that had been clear cut<\/div>\n
by Ontario Hydro so the company could deliver  Nuclear energy<\/div>\n
to our households.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
And there in the midst of the beige and dark brown landscape of November<\/div>\n
a different kind of  sunshine sparkled. Little islands of colour \u2026contrasting bursts<\/div>\n
of colour.   I have no idea what the plant was<\/div>\n
called but it was a pleasant adventure slogging through the near dry swamp<\/div>\n
to get these photographs.   I got the  pictures for you.  To brighten your day and<\/div>\n
my day.<\/div>\n

There is joy in the big  things\u2026such as the sun rising beneath a few clouds\u2026and<\/div>\n
the small things\u2026.such as the survival triumph of bushes crowned with orange  red berries.<\/div>\n

While we all wait for the snowflakes <\/div>\n
