Because he<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">had been flying high an hour earlier.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cI just turned 90 years &nbsp;old and got my birthday wish\u2026a &nbsp;flight in a World War II Harvard.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cYou did what?\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cSandra and the kids, Anne and David, Booked a joy ride for me out of Hamilton Airport\u2026on a &nbsp;Harvard . &nbsp;We flew southwest<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">to Caledonia&#8230;\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cDangerous?\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cSuppose so. &nbsp;The pilot told &nbsp;me not to touch any of the controls. &nbsp;The Harvard &nbsp;was &nbsp;used<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">to train fighter pilots in World War II\u2026two sets &nbsp;of &nbsp;controls. &nbsp;I kept my hands &nbsp;clear.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Brad &nbsp;just could not sit down. &nbsp;He paced up and down our lawn keeping his distance&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u2026masked of course\u2026but as excited as a kid in a candy store.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Marjorie served them, Sandra and Brad, ice cream on a stick. &nbsp;Brad wolfed his down<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">as he described the flight. &nbsp; Then he looked hungrily at Sandra\u2019s which had not been eaten.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Between bites he told us about the flight.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cFlying in a Harvard has been a dream that I never believed would actually happen. Years &nbsp;ago<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">I remember a &nbsp;Harvard coming to land on my friend Bill Greig\u2019s farm near Rockwood. &nbsp;It was magnificent.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">But beyond my grasp. &nbsp;Then today, as I turned 90, the dream became real.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\u201cThe Harvard &nbsp;only flies &nbsp;on good &nbsp;days\u2026clear sky in other words\u2026and today was &nbsp;just<\/div>\n<div class=\"\">perfect.\u201d<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">\n<h1 id=\"PageTitle_PageTitleText\" style=\"caret-color: rgb(51, 51, 51);
