INTUBATION EQUIPMENT FOR EMERGENCY USE AT HOME?<\/div>\n

Strange things happen when we live in isolation.  And a lot <\/div>\n
of the novel happenings are related to Covid 19\u2026<\/div>\n

Take yesterday morning for example.  Marjorie found<\/div>\n
some complicated medical stuff on a chair under the dining room<\/div>\n
table.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u201cAlan, what is this equipment from the doctor.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t remember\u2026maybe something sent along<\/div>\n
from the hospital.  (where I had my gall bladder removed)<\/div>\n
\u201cThis could be important, Alan.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cSuppose so.\u201d<\/div>\n

We thought it was an emergency kit for intubation. There<\/div>\n
was a shiny new funnel, a length of clear plastic hose and some<\/div>\n
kind of filters\u2026 and a Stainless steel pipe with handle.  All wrapped in clear plastic and sealed.<\/div>\n
Inside were the instructions.  We had read that intubation hurts<\/div>\n
and requires sedation so this stuff made sense to us.<\/div>\n

Opening the bag we discovered they were the<\/div>\n
new parts for putting gas in our lawn mower.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Take A look.   Would you assume medical paraphernalia<\/div>\n
for self intubation?  Tube to the lungs in other words.<\/div>\n
Post surgery emergency kit?<\/div>\n
