BEES AND  BEEKEEPING\u2026AND THOSE  CLOUDS

There is a long trail winding\u2026lifetime trail.<\/div>\n

I was  a  failure as  a beekeeper many years ago.  Decades ago, At the Parker Pettit farm sale I bought all<\/div>\n
his old bee hives and then proceeded to learn beekeeping.   The old hives were<\/div>\n
contaminated and my days as a beekeeper ended  when I had to set the hives  afire. <\/div>\n
Sad. Guilty.  <\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Today our son Andrew, now a big man, has taken up beekeeping thanks to the advice<\/div>\n
of Russ  Vanstone, my lifetime friend.   New hives, new bees, new place with shelter<\/div>\n
and fields of flowers at different stages.   <\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Some say that certain skills \u2018skip a generation\u2019\u2026i..e our children become more<\/div>\n
like our parents than like ourselves.   Certain truth there in this case.  Only in this<\/div>\n
case the skip went back two generations to his great grandfather, Edward  Freeman, <\/div>\n
who could do  anything he set his mind to do.  Great wealth never fell his way<\/div>\n
but happiness did.  He was a contented man.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
These are going to be happy bees.  Just wait until you see where they are<\/div>\n
living.   And then lose yourself in those \u2018Jone Mitchell\u2019 Clouds.<\/div>\n
