HAPPY CANADA DAY<\/div>\n

We  are a lucky bunch\u2026we Canadians.  Some would say that I think.   Just sampling conditions<\/div>\n
around  the world  in  this global Pandemic underscores our good fortune.  <\/div>\n
Even cocooned in isolation Marjorie and I feel positive.<\/div>\n

So here is a picture of our front yard.   All the work done by Marjorie except for the cobblestone<\/div>\n
walkway to the front door.   Remember  A.Y. Jackson\u2019s Group of Seven painting titled \u2018The Tangled Garden\u2019?<\/div>\n
Well the play of light and shadow, of red and  white, of yellow and gold,  of shades of  green in our garden puts the  Jackson<\/div>\n
painting  in  my mind.<\/div>\n

When Marjorie showed me this photograph I did not recognize our own front yard   I had  taken<\/div>\n
it all for granted.   Taken for  granted\u2026as we often take our country for granted.<\/div>\n
