1)  MacLean\u2019s Insider reports Canada now has 3133 confirmed cases of Cod -19<\/div>\n
which seems to me to be expected but MacLean\u2019s says \u201chas not slowed down\u201d.<\/div>\n
The plan is to slow down infections and thereby lower the statistical curve \u2026 hence<\/div>\n
reduce pressure on health care system.  A big spike in the curve will overpower <\/div>\n
our ability to handle the epidemic and increase the death toll.   All death toll is among<\/div>\n
seniors with many in their eighties \u2026 Marjorie and I are in this category so we<\/div>\n
are taking things seriously.<\/div>\n

2) Airports are receiving panic flights of Canadians from abroad. That will soon end.<\/div>\n
Those who fail to get home will just have to \u201chunker down\u201d in a foreign land.<\/div>\n

3) Justin Trudeau closed the Canadian border today\u2026exceptions 1) Canadians returning<\/div>\n
\u201cCome home right now, no guarantee if later.\u201d  2) U.S citizens  (open border at present but<\/div>\n
that may change.<\/div>\n

4) Donald Trump finally admitted the situation is dire in the US.  He asked ALL Americans<\/div>\n
to isolate themselves in there homes except, of course, for hospital and vitapservices.<\/div>\n
Trump seemed shaken on TV\u2026like he was not really in charge\u2026seemed weak and evasive<\/div>\n
the political cartoon on the editorial page of the Star shows three images  of Trump<\/div>\n
\u201chear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil”<\/div>\n

5) Our street is empty\u2026and it is rush hour.<\/div>\n

6) Garbage and Leaf collection normal.  Marjorie outside rakkng rotten leaves\u2026getting ready for spring.<\/div>\n
Water supply is not threatened it seems.  We was our hands 10 to 20 times a day\u2026that\u2019s a lot of water<\/div>\n
Sam phoned<\/div>\n
to say that Metro grocery chain store is now rationing certain things to prevent hoarding.<\/div>\n

7) What happens to our pensions?  the stock market has plummeted. The value of our pension<\/div>\n
depends on investment profits.  No profits now.  So what does that mean for our pensions?<\/div>\n

8)  We do not know one single person who has got Covid 19.   Yet everyone is in a state of subdued panic.<\/div>\n

9) Apparently my next  visit to the doctor will not be face to face.  It will be a virtual kind of thing\u2026perhaps telephone or video.   Effort<\/div>\n
