\u201cI WOULD like to introduce Alan  at the Stonehoker extravaganza.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cUnusual to have a wife introduce her husband.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cMaybe so, but I want to do it.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cAll yours.\u201d<\/div>\n

(So Marjorie spent 2 full months\u2026January and February\u2026prepare her introductory speech.  Normally<\/div>\n
introductions  take 4 minutes max.  Marjorie spoke for 20.5 minutes and  ended the speech doing<\/div>\n
a South Korean \u2018gangam style\u2019 dance which startled everyone.  At the 15 minute mark Andrew tapped<\/div>\n
his watch.  Marjorie was just warming up and pointed to the timer she had beside her at the lecturn.<\/div>\n
Turned  out the timer did  not work.  The audience was amused \u2026 good spirited \u2026 tearing up a  bit (tears)\u2026<\/div>\n
and attentive.  She took over the show.)<\/div>\n

The guest speaker, Marjorie\u2019s husband Alan, put his speech  aside.  There was no point in giving two speeches.<\/div>\n

\u201cI knew Marjorie was a bit nervous,\u201d Alan told the audience, \u201cbecause this morning she put onions in the porridge.\u201d<\/div>\n

\u201cNolan, how did you like the party?\u201d  (Nolan is one of  the grandchildren)<\/div>\n
\u201cDo you want to know the best part of your speech, Grandpa?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cNot sure\u2026\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cIt was when you told the audience about the onions in the porridge.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI knew I had been pre-empted then… for sure.”<\/div>\n
