AN ATROCIOUS LUNCH \u2014 MOUNTAIN OF FRENCH FRIES<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Marjorie got our car out of a skippery mud hole at the Vogel auction.   Not easy. So she was rewarded with a fancy<\/div>\n
lunch at a country dining place at an atrocious cost including the demanded tip of 20%.   I did not feel good about<\/div>\n
it\u2026especially the huge pile  French Fried potatoes\u2026..far more than we cold eat\u2026.then I got a great idea!<\/div>\n

\u201cMarjorie, let\u2019s get the waitress to box up these French Fries.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cWhy?   Whoever eats cold French Fries!  \u201c<\/div>\n
\u201cWe are going to make these greasy potatoes and the goo with them into a pot of Potatoes Soup\u2026G>P>S>..Good Potato Soup!\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cYou have never cooked anything since we were married\u2026.60 years.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cTrue.  You gave explicit orders \u2026’Alan, stay out of the kitchen;\u201d\u201d\u2026I will break the command tomorrow.  For You..good potato soup\u201d<\/div>\n

RECIPE FOR GOOD POTATO SOUP<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
-A PILE OF COLD FRENCH FRIES<\/div>\n
-3 CUPS WATER<\/div>\n
-1 PACKAGE DRY SOUP MX (ANY KIND)<\/div>\n
-SMALL GLASS OF MILK  <\/div>\n
-DASHES OF SEA SALT, WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE, ONION POWDER\u2026STUFF LIKE THAT<\/div>\n
-ANY OTHER LEFT OVERS\u2026I.e. meat ball was found under the French Fries<\/div>\n

DUMP IN POT<\/div>\n
HEAT AT MODERATE<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
MASH THE STUFF INTO MUSH WITH A POTATO MASHER<\/div>\n
(Cold French Fries may resist so be brutal with masher)<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
SERVE <\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

THAT\u2019S ALL THERE IS TO IT\u2026ANY FOOL CAN MAKE GOOD POTATO SOUP!<\/div>\n

although I went overboard with the sea salt.  Marjorie said it was good.<\/div>\n

By nightfall we were not too sure.  Marjorie bought a bottle of TUMS FOR THE TUMMY…<\/div>\n
 needed for two days along with a chemical that speeds up movement of<\/div>\n
food from stomach to intestine and out.   (called meta mucil. sp?}<\/div>\n
