Fire and Ice<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

Some say the world will end in fire,
<\/div>\n
Some say in ice.
<\/div>\n
From what I\u2019ve tasted of desire
<\/div>\n
I hold with those who favor fire.
<\/div>\n
But if it had to perish twice,
<\/div>\n
I think I know enough of hate
<\/div>\n
To say that for destruction ice
<\/div>\n
Is also great
<\/div>\n
And would suffice.
<\/div>\n

Robert Frost wrote this poem in 1920, shortly after the end of World War <\/div>\n
when <\/span><\/font>the results were obvious and horrific<\/span><\/font>\u2026<\/span><\/font>when 60,000 young Can Canad<\/span><\/font>ians died <\/span><\/font><\/span><\/div>\n
including Uncle <\/span><\/font><\/span>Jack who I would never meet.<\/div>\n

Today we are seeing the resurfacing of fire and ice in the Gaza Strip  where Hamas<\/div>\n
sent killers loose with one purpose in mind\u2026To kill Jews.<\/div>\n

Perhaps we need something to sooth our nerves \u2026 to dampen our apprehension of<\/div>\n
evils yet to surface\u2026.to hope a resolution is possible even though we might feel <\/div>\n
as Robert Frost did in 1920.  A century ago.<\/div>\n

I Tried to capture the clouds of hope on this evil day.<\/div>\n
