I often dream\u2026detailed dreams that are sometimes amusing and often include people i know well.<\/div>\n
Last night for instance Bill Proc was the main man.  (I shortened his name to four letters in case someone knows him.)<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
THE DREAM<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Sam and I were jabbering to each other over in the vast Dixie Plaza parking lot when a half ron<\/div>\n
truck pulled up beside the garbage container.   Surprised to see Bill Proc getting out of the truck.<\/div>\n
He looked a little harassed like he wanted to get back in the truck as fast as possible.  He even<\/div>\n
left the drivers’ side door open.  And he had a friend with him.<\/div>\n

On the back of the truck was a huge monster steel container.  Really big.  About 8\u2019 x 3\u2019 x 6\u2019.  <\/div>\n
Heavy rusted steel plate.  Bigger than a breadbasket.   Way bigger.<\/div>\n

\u201cHi Bill!\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cJesus!  What the hell are you doing here?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s up?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cNo time to talk, Al\u2026got to unload this bastard\u201d<\/div>\n

And the two of them tipped the monster out of the back of the truck.  It hit with a clatter<\/div>\n
as in \u2018awoke with a clatter to see what was the matter\u2019;  Then Bill Proc and friend hopped<\/div>\n
in the ruck and buggered off.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
I guess they did not see the \u2018No Dumping\u2019 sign.    <\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u201cWhat in hell\u2019s half acre is Proc doing?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know what he was doing but I do know we should get the hell out of here, Sam.\u201d<\/div>\n

So we each drove our separate ways.  All that was left in the parking lot was the behemoth put there<\/div>\n
by Bill Proc.    It towered over the parking lot like a dirty iceberg.   Huge.  Open at one end.  Empty.<\/div>\n

The phone was ringing when I got home.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u201cIs Alan Skeoch living at this number?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cYes.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cYou get the hell over here then before I call the police.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cWho is this?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cManager of Dixie Plaza.  You were spotted by our security people\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cSo what?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cSmart ass.  You dumped a large steel container beside our garbage drums.  Can\u2019t you read?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI did not do it .\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cLie! Get over here and get the damn thing\u2026.now.  No more talk.\u201d<\/div>\n

What should I do?  Give Bill Proc a call.  Give Bill Proc\u2019s name to the Plaza manager.   Rat on a<\/div>\n
friend?   <\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Best to call our son Andrew.  He has a couple of big trucks.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u201cAndy can you help.  I am being charged with illegal dumping over at the Plaza.\u201d\u2019’<\/div>\n
\u201cDid you do it?\u2019 <\/div>\n
(Imagine my own son thinking I could be guilty.)<\/div>\n
\u201cNo.   But I know the guy who did. It was Bill Proc.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cGet him \u201c<\/div>\n
\u201cCan\u2019t.   Not sure where he lives and doubt he could tip the rhino back into his<\/div>\n
truck.  He had a hell of a time dumping it out.  You could get help tipping it into<\/div>\n
your cube van\u2026.electric gate on back.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cDad, this sounds stupid.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cI could get charged\u2026maybe arrested. \u201c<\/div>\n
\u201cHow big is the thing?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cAndy,  I think about 8 x 6 x3\u2026.all steel, open at one end.  Seemed empty.  You and<\/div>\n
Nick could get it loaded.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cThen what?\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cThen take it to the farm where I keep all those rusted shapes for movie rentals.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cDad, you do not need any more of that stuff.\u201d<\/div>\n
\u201cEnough lectures\u2026I am in trouble.\u201d<\/div>\n

So I Drove over to Dixie<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Met Andy and Nick and we loaded the bastard into the cube van.<\/div>\n
The manager must have been watching from some peep hole.  Then Andy took it<\/div>\n
to the farm.<\/div>\n

End of story\u2026end of dream?\u201d<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
No. Believe it or not a movie company phoned. <\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
 \u201cAl,  we need a big piece of<\/div>\n
rusty crap to cover up a computer station in an old factory.  Really big and rusty<\/div>\n
kind of thing.  Got to make the place look like 1945 rather than 2023… Can you help?\u201d<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Wonder of wonders.   I rented the bastardly behemoth for $200 same day.<\/div>\n
Only one question in my mind now.<\/div>\n

THEN I WOKE UP.  LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW IN CASE IT WAS<\/div>\n
NOT A DREAM.<\/div>\n
