BARN LOOKS INTACT.  LOOK CLOSER\u2026TOP WELD HAS SNAPPED.  ROOF HELD UP BY RACKS INSIDE BARN,  HEAVY TRUSSES<\/div>\n
HAVE BENT AND DROPPED.<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
ROOF TRUSSES COLLAPSED, WELDS SNAPPED, ROOF CAVED IN AND ONLY SUPPORTED BY RACKING INSIDE BARN.  ALL<\/div>\n
WILL EVENTUALLY FALL FARTHER.     ALL CAUSED BY HEAVY WET SNOW FROM SUDDEN VIOLENT STORM  feb. 18, 2022.<\/div>\n

WITH REGARD TO THE LOSS OF MY BARN AND CONTENTS<\/div>\n

Background:  On the night of Feb. 18, 2022, a sudden snowstorm dumped heavy<\/div>\n
snow on our farm.  One building could not handle the weight and collapsed.  The building<\/div>\n
is packed tooth to yowl with historic artefacts many of which are used by the movie <\/div>\n
industry.   Interior racking is currently holding up parts of the barn but not for long.<\/div>\n
Am I devastated.?  No, I will get by.<\/div>\n

I am not the only person in the world with troublesl.  Mine are minuscule really so do not get<\/div>\n
the feeling I am swimming in self-pity.  No one was hurt.  I cannot imagine the results of an injury were <\/div>\n
that to occur.  A teacher of mine long ago, Evan Cruickshank, head of history at Humberside and Parkdale<\/div>\n
Collegiates once said to me:  <\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u201cAlan, never be hostage to fortune.\u201d<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Think about that line.  Never let the things in this world that you may acquire \u2026 never be a prisoner<\/div>\n
to them.   I have never forgotten that line.  It has served me well.  I was flattered when finishing<\/div>\n
university by the offer of a job from \u201cCrooky\u201d at Parkdale C. I.  He said the same ting that another<\/div>\n
mentor of mine, John Ricker, said.   \u201cIf you come to Parkdale, you will never leave.\u201d  Also true.<\/div>\n
Good advice which I took to heart.<\/div>\n

Bottom line:  The Barn and its contents do not own me.<\/div>\n
