We bought this ancient taxi sleight about 40 years ago at the Tompson farm and museum sale (I think).\u00a0 Then had it restored by Mennonite<\/div>\n
craftsmen in their wood repair shop north of Kitchener. \u00a0<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Why?\u00a0 Good question.\u00a0 We had no horses and no definition\u00a0plans.<\/div>\n
The sleigh reminded us of many of \u00a0the paintings done by Cornelius<\/div>\n
Kreighoff .. best reason I can offer. \u00a0(see below)<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Marjorie contacted the Toronto King Edward Hotel.\u00a0 When the\u00a0manager got wind of our project he proposed\u00a0a deal.\u00a0 He would provide a sumptuous New Years'<\/div>\n
dinner for our extended \u00a0family for two New Years'\u00a0occasions \u00a0if we could get the sleigh set up<\/div>\n
for their Christmas decor. \u00a0 A\u00a0Totally enjoyable occasion.\u00a0 The sleigh<\/div>\n
fitted perfectly\u00a0into the main floor of the hotel and residents had their<\/div>\n
pictures taken riding the taxi sleigh.\u00a0<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Since that time … about 40 years ago … the magnificent sleigh has rested on a wheeled cart in our quasi-blacksmith\u00a0shop in Mississauga.<\/div>\n
It still gives me a spiritual lift every \u00a0time I squeeze\u00a0past to get a tool.<\/div>\n

“Imagine”) .\u00a0 But we are not the only\u00a0ones. \u00a0 Dreamers…have a place<\/div>\n
in the human journey, don't they?<\/div>\n
