I feel best if I start with \u2018The Quiet Man\u2019 and the film\u2019s influence on me back in 1960 in a Dublin movie house that had been showing the film since 1953\u2026continuously.<br \/>\nCould Ireland be anything like the romantic interpretation of that film?  Not Bloody likely\u2026.or so I thought before travelling south to Bonmahon.  As things turned out Ireland was just as charming\u2026as warm and friendly\u2026as funny\u2026as human in the best sense.  I like to put a positive spin on my life journey\u2026push the dark away.<br \/>\nI will try to tie these thoughts to pictures taken at the time and a little later.
