EUJREKA! \u00a0ONE LONE LEOPARD \u00a0FROG! \u00a0 JLY \u00a08, 2018,<\/p>\n

(farm pond, fifth line, erin twp. wellington county)<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
VERY hot today. \u00a0Should be a good day \u00a0for frogs to get out of the farm pond<\/div>\n
and \u00a0limber up there tongues \u00a0for fly catching. \u00a0That would assume \u00a0there are<\/div>\n
any frogs left in our 9 acres \u00a0of ponds. \u00a0There were none visible last week<\/div>\n
although there was thing of pollywog movement beneath the floating corpses<\/div>\n
of last years bull rushes.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Not much sign of life as I circled \u00a0the pond, and \u00a0then there it was \u00a0\u2026 a quite<\/div>\n
mature leopard front. \u00a0Not moving. \u00a0Watching \u00a0me with a single bulbous<\/div>\n
eyes. \u00a0But alive and \u00a0healthy.<\/div>\n

I hope he or she is not spotted \u00a0by the eagle eyes of blue heron whose stiletto beak spears frogs and fish \u00a0and anything that moves.<\/div>\n

Today was \u00a0one of those magnificent days \u00a0of \u00a0summer\u2026maybe you would not mind \u00a0me sharing my \u201cfrog\u201d happy day. \u00a0 Farm ponds and<\/div>\n
wild flowers are the backdrops to our \u00a0friend the frog.<\/div>\n
